Something big and ugly with funky leaves. It must have existed at sometime…

Do you know of the Wollemi Pine? When I was an undergradute at uni they found it in a national forest near Sydney. Only about 100 plants exist (in the wild) and this pine tree was around when the dinosaurs were around – it is a great grand daddy of modern pines. Nowadays you can buy them in some nurseries (we had one at our house in Australia when we lived there). There is one in Kew gardens, but I don’t know how easy it is to buy one in the UK.

      Hi physichemandbio
I would bring back some of the massive plants from the Jurassic age. The cycads in particular were impressive with seed cones reaching 3 feet long.
In fact, I would bring back a whole Jurassic Park, dinosaurs included.
