• Question: Do you prefer learning about how things work or why things work?

      Both, but I lean more toward how they work. I want to be able to understand agricultural and evnrionment processes so the how is more important than the why. if I understand how something works I can control it or adapt to it (regardless of why it works). In that sense I am closer to an engineer than a philosopher. (but understanding the ‘why’ usually helps better understand the ‘how’)

      Probably how things work.
      It can take weeks, or even months to plan and set up an experiment in the lab so it’s always great to be there to see the end result.
      And exciting too, because you never know if it’s going to work or not.
