      Hi aec1,

      the most common farmed fish around Scotland are salmon and rainbow trout – almost all of aquaculture is these two species. In the wild you get loads of different species around Scotland and it depends on the time of year for what is common at the time. Mackerel is quite common, as is cod, haddock, herring, sea bass – lots of the fish you will see in the fish counters at the shops!
