      In the U.S. they have been using GM plants as ingredients in lots of foods for the past 15 years. During this time there has been a few reports of harm to test subjects such as rats, but these have all been shown to be misleading.

      Since a lot of the changes to GM food is to improve the quality, such as with Golden Rice, it is more likely that there will be good health benefits from GM plants.
