I guess the most dangerous thing is modification of diseases and organisms. Some scientist work with very dangerous virus and bacteria (usually to help protect us). These labs are very very tightly controlled, but if a modified microbe escaped then it could cause chaos. Only a few places in the world are allowed to work on such dangerous microbes.
